New Interpretation of Bob Dylan

I started learning Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay” on the piano, playing those achingly beautiful chords and lyrics, when my son Matthew joins me and asks, “Mom — why is he asking for the lady to lay across his big deathbed.”

“Matthew,” I replied, trying my best not to laugh (you know how serious 7 year olds can be), “I have absolutely no idea.”
